Shape of BLAZE Spin and BLAZE Speed

adidas BLAZE Spin - "Ladder" shape
adidas BLAZE Speed - "Cylinder + Ladder" shape

Will be asking players to test out the difference between the 2 rubbers. Any players interested in testing the adidas short pips can email us at liangseng_tabletennis@yahoo.com.

Pip structure - shape, size and spacing

The three different types of pip shape are: "Ladder", "Cylinder + Ladder", and "Cylinder".

What's the difference between BLAZE Spin and BLAZE Speed?

The first obvious difference is the Alignment.

BLAZE Spin is horizontal alignment
BLAZE Speed is vertical alignment.

But what the difference between the 2 different alignment?
Vertical alignment supposed to generate more speed while horizontal alignment generates more spin.

The Hardness of the sponge is different too. BLAZE Speed is harder than BLAZE Spin.
After testing the rubbers with a shot pip player (who's currently using Friendship 563 Mystery III for backhand) , BLAZE Spin seems to be easier to control compare to BLAZE Speed. But BLAZE Speed seems to be more powerful. I can only conclude that BLAZE Speed is harder and then BLAZE Spin.
When comparing both rubbers to Friendship 563, both create more spin than 563. Slicing with Friendship 563, the ball seems more flat (might be the reason why some defensive players are using this rubber with very thin sponge for backhand).

Will take a closeer look on the size, shape and spacing between the 2 rubbers next.
